Town Facilities To Close Early Thursday Ahead Of Possible Severe Weather

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (Wednesday, March 17, 2021) – All Summerville Town facilities will close at 12 p.m., noon, on Thursday, March 18, 2021, due to the possibility of severe weather forecasted by the National Weather Service. The closure includes Town buildings, parks, and athletic fields. The regularly scheduled March Design Review Board meeting has been postponed to a later date to be determined. Municipal Court operations will proceed as scheduled Thursday morning.

Collection services with Carolina Waste are scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. Thursday and expected to be completed by 2 p.m. Possible changes will be posted to the Town website.

Flooded roadways and downed trees can be reported to the non-emergency dispatch line at (843) 875-1650.

Downed power lines and power outages should be reported to utility providers.

Town services are available online at www.summervillesc.gov and are expected to return to normal operations at 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 19.
