Notice of Availability of CDBG Funds

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (Wednesday, February 25, 2020) - The Town of Summerville anticipates receiving approximately $230,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the 2020 program year (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021).  

The Town is accepting applications for CDBG funds from qualified non-profit organizations located within or serving residents of the town of Summerville. Applicants must propose an eligible activity that meets a HUD National Objective, and which also meets one of the anticipated goals of the Town’s new Consolidated Plan: Homeless Assistance; Provide Decent, Affordable Housing; Provide Recreational and Community Facilities; Promote Fair Housing. Applications must be submitted by March 30, 2020 at 5 p.m. to: Town of Summerville, Attn: Rebecca Jackson, 200 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483, or rjackson@summervillesc.gov.
