Notice is hereby given that the Town of Summerville plans to submit its 2017 Annual Action Plan (AAP) for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or about May 15, 2017. An AAP is developed and submitted annually to meet HUD’s statutory requirements to receive funding allocations for the CDBG Program. A draft of the Town’s 2017 AAP will be available for public review Monday-Friday, 8:30AM to 5:000PM, at Summerville Town Hall, or on the Town’s website, www.summervillesc.gov/cdbg, beginning on April 3, 2017. The 30-day public comment period will conclude on May 2, 2017 at 5:00PM. Written comments on the 2017 AAP may be addressed to Kayla Halberg, Grants Writer, Town of Summerville, 200 S. A public hearing to obtain community input on the draft of the 2017 AAP will be held on April 10, 2017 at 4:00PM in the Town Hall Annex, Second Floor Training Room. The public hearing will include a presentation of the CDBG program objectives and goals of the Town’s 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan, as well as the proposed activities for the 2017 program year. A public hearing to obtain community input on the development of the AAP was held on March 6, 2017, and all public comments were considered in the development of the draft.
